No dia 6 de dezembro de 2024, investigadores do projeto be-WISE (Alice Ramos, Catarina Cruzeiro, Patrícia Cardoso e Fernanda Malhão) realizaram uma envolvente palestra científica na Escola da Ciência Viva, situada no Parque Biológico de Gaia. A palestra, intitulada ?Solo com Vida?, contou com a participação de mais de 30 alunos do 4.º ano de duas turmas do município.
The session focused on the vital role of healthy soil in sustaining life on Earth, highlighting its main threats and practical ways students can help improve and protect it.
In addition to the presentation, be-WISE researchers organized hands-on experimental activities, giving students the opportunity to explore the soil in the Parque Biológico. They identified various living organisms within the soil and assessed its health and biodiversity.
The event concluded with a storytelling session, where the students selected the story “A Menina que Plantava Árvores” by Caryl Hart and Anastasia Suvorova, wrapping up the experience with an inspiring environmental message.
